Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced a new partnership with tech companies including Samsung, Nokia and Qualcomm to bring the Internet to the 5 billion people who don’t have access to it. The new group, called Internet.org, aims to empower governments to help them bring technology to the two-thirds of the global population who don’t have Internet access. In a post on his wall, Zuckerberg said, “There are huge barriers in developing countries to connecting and joining the knowledge economy. Internet.org brings together a global partnership that will work to overcome these challenges, including making internet access available to those who cannot currently afford it” …
