An event called Slide the City is bringing a 1,000-foot water slide to dozens of cities across the country this summer. Riders can pay $15 per ride (or $50 for a day pass), to slip and slide through several downtown blocks of cities like Detroit, Phoenix and Miami. Last summer, the company did a few “proof of concept” events, and, unsurprisingly, people got really excited about the prospect of using a gigantic urban waterslide.
