
A survey from financial online marketplace LendEDU has reported that 49 percent of millennials spend more money eating out at restaurants than they do saving for retirement. That contingent spends about $163/month dining out.
What’s more, 37 percent of millennials aren’t saving for retirement at all, but those who do say they’re putting away an average of $480 per month.
Other data on expenditures by millennials:
- $38 per month on coffee
- $75 per month on alcohol
- $39 per month on marijuana
- $281 per month on groceries
- $7 per month on music streaming
