In a new video released today, a group of girls—purported to be the Nigerian school girls kidnapped on April 15—all wear dark hijabs, and, are seen “reciting the Quran as they make Islamic declarations of faith.” In the video, the leader of Boko Haram, the terrorist group who is holding the 276 girls in eastern Nigeria, says that they been converted to Islam since their abduction. Abubakar Shekau also tells authorities that he is willing to return the girls in exchange for prisoners. The United States, Britain, France and China are among the nations assisting Nigeria in finding the girls, who were kidnapped by the radical Islamic organization that is against “western education.” The government of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has faced criticism for initially refusing international help in the investigation and ignoring a warning that may have prevented the attack in April …
