There’s more tragic news coming from Orlando, where doctors say that at least six individuals who were injured in this weekend’s mass shooting are now in critical condition. A local trauma surgeon asked the public to pray, telling reporters,
I would be surprised if we do not see the death toll rise from this. We’re doing everything that we possibly can to pull them through this, but they are critically ill as a result of their injuries. I know that those patients and their families would ask for your prayers and your thoughts for their rapid recovery.
According to ABC News, out of the 44 individuals admitted for injuries following the shooting, 27 are still in the hospital receiving treatment for their injuries.
