House Speaker John Boehner has admitted that taxes on the rich will have to go up in order to avoid the impending fiscal cliff. As you’re probably aware, the fiscal cliff is a set of automatic tax hikes and spending cuts that will automatically kick in on January 1 that were purposefully set to drive the economy bonkers. The idea was that the fiscal cliff would force Republicans and Democrats to play nice with each other but, so far, both have stuck to their party lines.
