A multimillionaire has announced plans to send the first humans to Mars. Dennis Tito’s Inspiration Mars Foundation is looking for a married couple in their 50s to send on a 501-day journey to the red planet. The couple will become the first humans to travel that deep into space, and will get a close glimpse of Mars in the planned fly-over. But, before you go applying, there are a few details to be aware of: There’s no plan to rescue the astronauts if something goes wrong; the pair may be exposed to lethal amounts of radiation; and, the living space in the tiny vessel is only 33-cubic feet.
