A new software program, Muxlim Pal, has created a virtual world for Muslims. In it, users can create an avatar which travels around its virtual world promoting Islam. The avatar can visit prayer rooms, purchase gifts for friends and dress in traditional Islamic clothing. While the creators of the game claim the virtual world is not a religious one, they say that the purpose of the game is to promote Islamic values.
