It’s difficult to believe that there was a time where there wasn’t a new Star Wars movie in the works, because every day since Disney’s announcement has brought a fresh wave of new rumors, none of which have ever really been confirmed. But today, finally, at long last, there is some real, actual news to report about this movie. The long and short of it is that the new Star Wars will at least feature Gollum, a Weasley brother and Han Solo, so things are looking promising.
Deadline reports that John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (a newcomer), Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings), Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), and Max von Sydow (Minority Report) have joined our old pals Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker for the big, first, official script read-thru in London.
