The House of Representatives has passed a far-reaching bill that would limit access to abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, the time when many experts believe it’s possible for the unborn baby to feel pain. The measure is largely symbolic as it will not become law under the Obama administration. A White House statement called the bill an “assault on a woman’s right to choose” and the Senate hasn’t scheduled a time to vote on the piece of legislation.
