Wedding photographer Dustin Prickett decided to capture a few twilight shots of a happy couple at their reception last week in Florida. It wasn’t until after the wedding that he realized that the planet Venus can be seen in the background right next to the moon in the evening sky (look at the upper right corner of the photo below). According to Space.com, the astrological phenomena when two celestial bodies can be viewed at the same time is known as a “conjunction.” Prickett told Space.com, “We stepped out of the reception shortly after sunset into the open field.” Coincidently, it was the same 45-minute window when the cosmic wedding crashers would be at their most viewable almost all year.
