Donald Sterling Now Says He Will Sue the NBA and Fight the Sale of the Clippers

Here we go again. Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has yet again changed his mind, and now says that he will sue the NBA for $1 billion and fight the sale of his team. Just last week, his lawyer released a statement, informing the public that his client “has made an agreement with the NBA to resolve all their differences.” Sterling indicated he would drop a planned lawsuit and allow the Clippers to be sold through his wife, Shelly Sterling, to former Microsoft executive Steve Ballmer for $2 billion.

Evidently, Sterling was under the impression that the league would lift its lifetime ban and drop the $2.5 million fine it levied against him after he was be heard making numerous racist comments on a leaked phone call. Sterling has released yet another statement, this one titled “The Team is not for Sale,” which says that, “While my position may not be popular, I believe that my rights to privacy and the preservation of my rights to due process should not be trampled.” This is probably going to get ugly … again …
