Recently, Chip and Joanna Gaines—who rose to superstardom as the hosts of the series Fixer Upper—were guests on The Tonight Show, and made a big announcement. Even though they have officially ended their show, we haven’t seen the last of the couple on TV.
They are teaming up with Discovery (the parent company of HGTV, who carried Fixer Upper) to launch a new channel called the Magnolia Network. According to USA Today, the new network will replace one of the other Discovery channels, likely Destination America, DIY or Great American Country (which are evidently real channels).
In a statement, a Discovery spokesperson said, “The Gaineses are exceptional people, true authentic storytellers and creative visionaries who will nourish millions of people with quality, family-friendly programming accessible on a 24/7 network and across all screens.”
It’s expected to launch in about a year.
