Phoebe Bridgers is the newly Grammy nominated singer-songwriter behind one of 2020’s very best albums. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the Emmy-winning actress-writer behind Fleabag and that new James Bond movie that is probably going to come out someday. Two talented women. One extremely similar name. And now they have joined forces for “Savior Complex,” a music video equivalent of internet favs collapsing in on themselves. There’s even Normal People‘s Paul Mescal (whom Bridgers is maybe dating, maybe not) and a mischievous little dog so, yeah, this whole thing is pretty much catnip for the internet. It’s a pretty good story too, and is available only on Facebook for the time being, so check it out there.
Like Bridgers and Waller-Bridge’s usual respective projects, the video is a little sad, a little strange and pretty funny which is probably why they’re all connecting in this sad, strange, funny year.
