Perhaps no sophomore album is more anticipated right now than a new offering from Billie Eilish, the wünderkind who swept the Grammys with her A+ debut When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. Eilish has been everywhere since that first album, including a world tour, Billboard domination, a James Bond song and an Apple documentary. The one thing she hasn’t delivered is a new album, but that’s about to change. Happier Than Ever is dropping on July 30 and the first single will hit this Thursday, April 29.

Hmm, well, that’s all we know right now. The album art and the title are a pretty significant switch from the goth-y aesthetic of Billie’s debut, which trafficked in nightmares and her own struggles with mental health. Going blonde and calling a new album Happier Than Ever doesn’t necessarily imply that such struggles are behind her, but a one-off single from earlier this year did seem to find Eilish in a more hopeful, optimistic place. That song will apparently be included on the new album, along with “Therefore I Am.” You can watch the former below.
