Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, one of Hollywood’s favorite power couples, have proven yet again why they’re so lovable: The couple announced they would match every donation up to $1 million for refugees fleeing from was in the Ukraine.
The ‘Deadpool’ actor shared on Twitter that he and Lively were working with the United Nations Refugee Agency to help those in need in Ukraine.
In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes to neighboring countries. They need protection. When you donate, we’ll match it up to $1,000,000, creating double the support.⬇️ https://t.co/xCFL1Lptuw https://t.co/CHp48E1KLQ

Within the past week, Ukrainians have had their lives shifted completely. The Russian army continues to invade Ukraine, separating families and starting a war that is likely to last for months. An estimated 368,000 refugees have managed to leave the country, with more and more seeking safety every day.
European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson said on Sunday that countries within the E.U. need to be prepared for a massive influx of refugees to arrive.
“It’s very difficult to guess how many, but I think we should be prepared for millions,” Johansson said.
