The Wrap is reporting that Jared Leto is in talks to be the next Joker in the DC Comics’ big screen universe. After Ryan Gosling reportedly turned down the project, Warner Bros. has turned to Leto to star in the movie adaptation of the supervillian-centric comic Suicide Squad. The movie will tell the story of a group of villains being tapped to work for the U.S. government as a bid to win back their own freedom. Along with Leto’s Joker, Jesse Eisenberg will reprise his role as Lex Luthor in the film, with Margot Robbie, Tom Hardy and Will Smith also possibly on board.
