Dust off your cowboy hat and shine up your space suit: Toy Story 5 is officially in development.
Disney announced yesterday that the beloved franchise would be returning for a fifth film. This news comes hot on the heels of the announcements of Frozen 3 and a new Zootopia film, as Disney continues to lean into its unrivaled franchises.
It’s been almost three decades since the first Toy Story film, the first fully computer-animated feature film, hit theaters in 1995. In that time, the franchise has gone on to become one of Disney’s biggest animated series, with the four previous films earning a total of $3.03 billion at the global box office.
As for what we can expect from Toy Story 5, details are still scarce, but we can surely expect Woody, Buzz and the whole gang will find some new way to get into their same old shenanigans.
