
This afternoon, the new single from will.i.am will be broadcast from NASA’s lab in Pasadena, Calif. to the Curiosity Mars Rover, where the rest of us will be able to stream it and dance to it and love it forever. In other words, will.i.am will have the distinction of being the first musician to play his song (called “Reach for the Stars,” naturally) on Mars which seems appropriate, given his affinity for dressing like an otherworldly dignitary and singing like Wall-E. Just don’t be surprised if this move confuses the Martians, who might suspect us of illegally downloading their music …
