Taylor Swift’s “Carolina” is here. Her contribution to the film adaptation of Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing was teased in the trailer and has been a major part of the movie’s marketing rollout because when you’ve got Taylor Swift on the soundtrack, you gotta go hard. In very good news, the track was produced by Swift’s frequent collaborator, Aaron Dessner of the National.
Dessner’s partnership with Swift has unlocked a new stratosphere in Swift’s creative development, and the two landed Album of the Year Grammys for their work on Folklore. Swift also is busy releasing “Taylor’s Versions” of some of her earlier albums, with Red’s much-loved 10-minute version of “All Too Well” setting a record for Billboard’s longest chart-topper. Oh, and lest we forget, it’s Dr. Taylor Swift now too. She’s been busy.
What’s next for Dr. Swift? Swifties are buzzing for another “Taylor’s Version,” and a few internet clues point towards 1989 as next up on the conveyer belt. But as to when that project might drop, nobody knows but Swift herself.
