Colony House Drops New Surf-Rock Song ‘Cannonballers’

Fresh off their first international tour, indie rock band Colony House has dropped their new single “Cannonballers,” which can only be described as an adventurer’s anthem.

“Cannonballers” is the band’s first single since last year’s EP Rotten Tomatoes. Frontman Caleb Chapman said the song was inspired by the thrills, twists and turns of a roller coaster, which is a great way to describe the last few years of life for, well, everyone.

“The song’s meaning is multifaceted and alludes to the pace of life we all seem to be living at these days… fast,” Chapman said in a statement. “‘Cannonballers’ is a short ride with a couple twists and turns, but hopefully by the time it ends, whoever is listening will want to hop back in line for another go.”

The band definitely has honed their surf-rock sound over the years, and “Cannonballers” is an excellent addition to their already great lineup. No word yet on the next album, but knowing these guys, that tide is about to change soon.
