Former President Barack Obama’s is showing some love to nobigdyl.
Obama dropped his annual summer playlist, which shows off his famously eclectic taste, and this year Christian hip-hop artist nobigdyl. made the cut.
“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer,” Obama wrote on Twitter, adding that his playlist is “a mix of old and new.”
Over on Instagram, nobigdyl. celebrated the exciting news, saying, “A song I wrote about my experience as a Black Christian boy raised in the rural South + recorded in my garage is on President Obama’s summer playlist.
“Just got off the phone with mom,” he continued. “Yes, the groupchat is going nuts.”
Each summer, Obama shows off his taste in music — although, that’s up for debate. In addition to nobigdyl., Obama has also been listening to everything from boygenius to Arethra Franklin to SZA and more.
