School district officials in Ohio have voted to deny a federal lawsuit’s claim that a portrait of Jesus that has hung in its school’s hallway for 65 years is unconstitutional and will keep the painting up. The portrait at the center of the suit was donated to the middle school by a student group more than six decades ago but recently came under fire when the Freedom From Religion Foundation sent the school a letter, claiming it had received “a disturbing report” about the picture.
