One of our most anticipated shows of 2019 finally has a trailer and a release date: Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone revival will premiere on CBS All-Access April 1.
Peele’s name along is enough to sell us, but if the trailer is any indication, there are a lot more intriguing names involved.
The new Twilight Zone, while hosted by Peele, features the likes of Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Silicon Valley), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place), Taissa Farmiga (The Nun), Ike Barinholtz (Blockers) and John Cho (Searching).
There are a ton of good people on this show, and while attracting that level of talent is certainly a testament to Peele’s clout, you have to think it bodes well for the writing, too.
The vibe of the trailer is note-perfect: spooky, suspenseful, mysterious, perilous. It’s creepy without turning you off and it’s puzzling without being opaque. All the pieces are here to make a great show.
We’re only weeks away from seeing how it pans out.
