If you were worried that Wreck-It Ralph 2 was a cash grab looking to mash together a bunch of “trendy” Internet jokes and make some easy money a la The Emoji Movie, the new trailer will probably put those fears to rest.
Of course, there are some sharp jokes here about Google’s auto-complete feature, and some (adorable) visual gags about things like Amazon and Twitter, but the best joke of the ad isn’t Internet-related at all, but is rather a bracingly on-point skewering of the politics of Disney princesses.
Wreck-It Ralph 2 comes out November 21, and you can consider us officially excited. We were skeptics, but this looks smart, and legit funny.
