Hulu Drops the First Trailer of the ‘Futurama’ Reboot

We’ve finally got our first look at Futurama‘s second comeback, a decade after its last cancellation.

The official trailer makes it clear that the essence of Futurama remains intact, despite its modernized makeover. The show will take on cryptocurrency, Amazon’s Alexa, and a virus eerily reminiscent of recent global events. Additionally, the trailer shows that the series tackles the aftermath of its second series finale, featuring protagonists Leela and Fry as a married couple who have lost their memories of married life.

And it looks like most of the original cast is returning, including Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, David Herman and John DiMaggio.

Originally airing in 1999 on Fox, the animated series faced its first cancellation in 2003, only to be revived by Comedy Central in 2008, and then canceled once more in 2013. Now, Hulu takes the reins, ready to bring the beloved show back to life, at least until its inevitable third cancellation.

The new season will premiere on Hulu on July 24.
