Despite a ton of problems getting the original World War Z made, Brad Pitt’s novel to big-screen adaptation actually ended up a being pretty successful blockbuster. So successful in fact, that Paramount and Pitt have commissioned a sequel (WWZII?). This time, they’ve recruited the young filmmaker behind 2012’s disaster drama The Impossible and the horror flick The Orphanage to take the helm. In addition to directing the action-horror zombie epic, Juan Antonio Bayona will also oversee the writing process—no easy task, considering Pitt previously demanded multiple rewrites of the first installment during production.
