This whole war on Christmas thing just got real. A Salvation Army bell ringer, who was collecting donations for needy families outside a Walmart in Phoenix, says that she was slugged for offering the wrong holiday greeting. Kristina Vindiola told her local news station, “The lady looked at me. I thought she was going to put money in the kettle. She came up to me and said, ‘Do you believe in God?’ And she says, ‘You’re supposed to say Merry Christmas,’ and that’s when she hit me.” Don’t worry, this war on Christmas showdown didn’t end in any casualties. Vindiola was struck in the arm, and was unharmed in the keeping-Christ-in-Christmas assault. Though the police were called, no files were charged after surveillance video did not yield enough evidence to prove that an actual crime was committed.
