
Pastors of L.A. may soon have some competition. According to a recent profile in the magazine FD Luxe, Texas’ Fellowship Church pastor Ed Young and his family may be the next stars of a cable reality show. The article, which compares the family to a “Christianized version of a certain other well-funded, camera-friendly family: the Kardashians,” says that Young has repeatedly been approached about a reality show—most recently by a producer pitching it to Duck Dynasty-home A&E—and the pastor is considering it. “I don’t mind showing anybody anything,” he said in the interview. Though the story says that a reality show would showcase “how the family says it lives out a message of God’s love,” it also notes that “requisite glossy ingredients are in place for a show.” This includes a 7,100-square foot mansion, an entourage that includes a former reality show star and personal assistants, the lives of Young’s college-aged daughters, as well as, possible conversations about topics like the use of Botox, prosperity and family relationships, all of which are discussed in the feature …
