Pastors have a hard job.
Not only are they tasked with bringing an impactful, biblical, challenging message every single week, they’ve also got to keep people’s attention on Sunday morning.
However, incorporating a sermon illustration—especially one that involves a feat of physical might—is a risky proposition.
This video, from the “churchoflaugh” Instagram page should serve as a warning to any pastors reading, that maybe you should reconsider involving a mini-trampoline (?) or any kind of jumping into the message.
Props to this dude for totally redeeming it with a great—and inspirational—one liner: “Sometimes you fall, but you gotta get back up.”

A commenter on the churchoflaugh Facebook page shared this new video of his second attempt.
From Anaik Evelyn: “This is my pastor yall! In his defense, he had the trampoline on a slippery surface! On Attempt #2 he placed the trampoline on the rug where it would not slip! I appreciate his love for always making our Sunday’s interesting while preaching the Word!”
Devil no, not today.
