
If you’re contemplating drinking that third cup of coffee, a new study may help make your decision a little easier. Researchers at Cornell University have found that an antioxidant contained in the beverage helped to prevent the retina in lab mice from degenerating. The study’s lead author wrote that even when mice were exposed to a substance known to accelerate degeneration within the eyes, mice treated with the coffee antioxidant showed no damage.
