According to a new Barna study, Americans are some of the most spiritually minded people on the planet. Millions of Americans describe their faith as “very important” and two-thirds of the nation’s adults think of themselves as deeply spiritual. However, the Barna study reports that “while most Americans want clarity about their life’s purpose, they portray a personal search that is challenging and often conflicted.” In other words, most people reported that they believed they were “deeply spiritual” but they also stated that they needed to make major life-changes themselves.
