Eric Hartsburg, the famed Michigan City, Ind. man who won the heart of a nation when he got a tattoo on his face of Mitt Romney’s campaign logo, is on the slow, necessary journey of discovering that his tattoo was a bit short-sighted. Although he initially defended his tattoo, he has since taken up the offer of Will Kirby (of tattoo-removal chain Dr. TATTOFF) who offered to remove it for free. Of course, nothing in life is truly free, so Hartsburg will have to endure about a year of excruciating laser removal sessions. And then, of course, he’ll be done with political face tattoos, whoops, just kidding: “We’ll see in four years what the election brings and what candidates come along,” he said. Just like they say.
