Well, we’re a little less than a month away from Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2‘s official release date, but Marvel gave a few reviewers an early screening on Monday night. There’s a bunch of red tape around any of those critics writing real reviews yet, but a few of them took to Twitter to talk about the movie, and if their reactions are to be believed, Marvel’s got another winner on its hands.
Loved Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. Surprisingly moving. Incredible visual effects and production design.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2. is very fun. Takes the EMPIRE "split up your characters" strategy. Drax is a hoot. Baby Groot steals the show

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is filled with tons of surprises and an unexpected amount of emotion. Another Marvel winner.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is funnier than the original, a ton of surprises, and an unexpected emotional profoundness. I am Groot.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a whole heap of fun. Gorgeous, a bit mad, and surprisingly emotional. And yes, Baby Groot is everything.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2 is a lot of fun. Action-packed & even more classic '70s/early '80s music cues.

And note for the super nerds: this movie features not one, not two, not three, not four, but five — yes, five (5!) — post-credit scenes, so don’t get out of your theater seat too early after the movie rolls if you want the full experience.
So, looks like we’re in for a treat next month when the movie finally drops. And the goods just keep coming: Director James Gunn revealed on Facebook that he’s officially headed back to the director’s chair for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, because Marvel’s gonna keep churning out movies until long after we’re all dead.
