Maverick City Music Has Parted Ways With Dante Bowe

Late Monday night, Grammy-winning worship music collective Maverick City Music announced that they’d be parting ways with longtime member Dante Bowe.

“Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs, we have decided to put a pause on our professional relationship with Dante Bowe,” the post read. “Decisions like these are not easy because of the level of nuance, both professionally and personally, but we felt it necessary to address.”

The post went on to say that “Maverick City Music is a collective of various artists from many different backgrounds and life experiences; as such no one artist’s actions or behavior can always be attributed as reflection of our core beliefs and values.”

The post did not elaborate on what Bowe’s actions or behaviors, but did state an ongoing commitment to his wellbeing. “Dante is a brother in Christ and as such he has our full commitment and unwavering support as he continues to navigate a path forward,” the post concluded. “Each of us needs God’s grace, and our hope is that we all pray and give him the same opportunity to grow in Christ as we give ourselves.”

Since its 2019 debut, Maverick City Music’s rise has been virtually unparalleled in modern worship music, selling out arenas globally and launching a number of songs that have become instant Sunday morning staples.

As of this writing, Bowe’s Instagram account has been set to private.
