Ever wanted to appear in the HBO comedy The Righteous Gemstones? This might be your chance.
The show, which has been filmed primarily in Charleston, South Carolina, has put out a casting call for its fourth season, looking for several skilled and intermediate-level skateboarders and BMX riders to appear in the background of the show. Additionally, they’re seeking men who can portray soldiers and actual Civil War re-enactors. We have no idea why.
Anyone interested in applying for the BMX or skateboarding gig should have their own equipment and gear and submit an email to [email protected] with “SKATEBOARD/BMX REQUEST” as the subject line. Be sure to include two current photos – a closeup and full length, along with your name, phone number, age, city and state where you reside. Add your skateboarding or BMX experience and include your height, weight, clothing sizes, shoe size and a description of visible tattoos and piercings.
For Civil War re-enactors, submissions should be sent to [email protected] with “SOLDIER AVAIL” in the subject line. Include two current photos – a closeup and full length. Photos must reflect your current hair length and facial hair status.
More information about casting call details can be found here.
No details about the plotline have been revealed, but if we know the Gemstones, we know it will be something egregious and over-the-top. The comedy series follows a dysfunctional, world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and infighting. The series stars Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edit Patterson, Adam DeVine and Walton Goggins.
