There’s a surprising new name at the top of the Christian music charts this week.
Drag queen Flamy Grant’s Bible Belt Baby has reached No. 1 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel album chart, 10 months after the album’s release. Additionally, Grant’s lead single “Good Day” peaked at No. 1.
The surprise rise to the top is due in large part to Christian worship artist Sean Feucht after he criticized Derek Webb, former lead singer of Caedmon’s Call, for collaborating with Grant on “Good Day.”
“If you’re wondering the end goal of the deconstruction movement in the church, then look no further than former worship leader @derekwebb’s new collab with a drag queen” Feucht wrote. “These are truly the last days.”

Grant responded to Feucht’s complaint, writing, “End goal? Baby we’re just getting started,” along with a kissy-face emoji.
Over on Instagram, Grant shared the exchange and challenged followers to “prove Feucht wrong.”
“Sean Feucht thinks hardly anyone is interested in a worship song by a drag queen,” Grant wrote. “‘Good Day’ deserves a spot on the #christianmusic charts, dontcha think?”
Within hours, the song and album had reached No. 1 on iTunes Christian and Gospel charts.
“I don’t know what else to say except: if you’re gonna come for a drag queen, you better be ready for how she comes back,” Grant wrote on Instagram. “She comes back with an army of love.”
In addition to Webb, the album features queer Christian artists Jennifer Knapp and Semler.
