A live version of The Passion of the Christ is headed to TV. According to a report in Deadline, Tyler Perry will narrate the two-hour live musical that is set to air on March 20. It’s not exactly Mel Gibson’s version of the Gospel story. Along with being set to music, the TV version will take place in present day and will feature “a procession of hundreds of people carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from Champion Square [in New Orleans] outside the Superdome to the live stage at Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.”
