Wes Anderson’s Next Film Will Be ‘Dark’ and Feature Benicio Del Toro In Every Shot

If you thought Wes Anderson couldn’t get any quirkier, think again.

In a recent interview with Le Monde, the celebrated filmmaker dropped a fascinating detail about his next film: Benicio Del Toro will appear in every single frame of the film.

“My next feature film will be linear, with Benicio Del Toro in every shot,” Anderson said. “I can’t tell you much more than that except that it will be about espionage, a father-daughter relationship, and, let’s say, with a rather dark tone.”

Yes, that’s right. Every. Single. Shot. It’s a move that only Anderson himself could conjure up. Del Toro and Anderson have previously worked on the 2021 film The French Dispatch, so we know the duo can create a unique masterpiece together.

In a departure from his character-filled ensembles of the past, for this project he’s chosen to focus on just three central roles, played by Del Toro, Michael Cera and one to-be-casted daughter.

The film will begin production later this year. But if you can’t wait, check out Anderson’s Asteroid City, which opened nationally this weekend.
