Five Christian Meme Accounts You Should Definitely Be Following

Christian humor is hard. Everyone knows that. A lot of us first learned Christian jokes from a pastor or youth group leader and, let’s face it, a lot of those guys (there were almost always guys) weren’t really cut out for comedy. If that left kind of a bad taste for Christian jokes in your mouth, nobody blames you.

But over on Instagram, several accounts have actually gotten down the art of curating memes for a Christian context that are pretty funny, trading the “disciples were all in one Accord!” type jokes for extremely online posting that feels a little more up to speed with how humor tends to land today. Here are some of our favorite places for churchy jokes.

@deuteronomemes

deuteronomemes never misses with their posts. From all-too-relatable church experiences to poking fun at cheesy Christian songs, you’ll be smiling at every one of their posts.

@epicchristianmemes

Their bio describes themselves as “two pastors with petty dreams to make petty memes,” and that pretty much sums it up. The pettiness is rampant on this account.

@christianswhocursesometimes

They account recently made the switch to posting reels, and every single on of them is better than the last!

@memesforjesus

This is arguably the OG of Christian meme accounts, and they’ve got the art of Christian humor down. Seriously, you’ll get stuck scrolling through their feed, so don’t say we didn’t warn you!

@youthpastor.co

This account has a niche market, but if you grew up in a church youth group this account is an essential follow. Relieve the cringey youth group days and find a way to poke fun at some of the more ridiculous things we all did (and let’s be honest, still do).
